Welcome to the Metro Chapter of New York Mental Health Counselors Association!
NYMHCA is the advocacy organization representing the clinical counselors of New York State and the Metro Chapter represents the members in the NYC Metropolitan area. As the largest chapter in NYMHCA, the NYMHCA-Metro continues to inform the mental health field as well as the general public about the services we are licensed to provide and continue to advocate with local, state and federal legislatures to ensure that we have the right to practice our profession.

NYMHCA Metro Chapter is local branch of the American Mental Health Counselors Association. Membership in AMHCA is encouraged but not required to join us. We are also an affiliated member of the New York Counseling Association.
